The Old Merchants Court:
We have our own private wedding room on the second floor of this charming old building situated on the town square. It's perfect all year round for smaller parties with a maximum 30-35 guests, or eloping couples going it alone. We are on hand to coordinate music, open the champagne, and do anything else that's needed. Downstairs is the atmospheric Old Merchants Court Café - perfect for receptions inside, or outside in the courtyard by the iconic little whisky distillery.
THE beach hut:
On Ærøskøbing's lovely sandy beach we have our own little blue beach house. Romantic, natural and informal, a wedding here is a fantastic experience. Brilliant for small groups.
At the northern tip of the island is the amazing lighthouse, with the golf course all around and sea on 3 sides. As sponsors of the golf course DIW has exclusive use of the lighthouse for weddings. Brilliant for small groups, with max 4 guests, who want something unusual.
Strandskoven is an amazing new venue right by the beach, with 2 big stylish reception rooms, and a large terrace with a stunning view, making it possible to have a beach wedding in all weather! Suitable for bigger wedding parties, from 10 - 60 guests.
A beautiful organic farm right on the nature reserve of Voderup Klint, with stepped meadows leading down to the sea. As well as a stunning, natural environment Nils and Maja can offer a fine old renovated barn for the reception, and an amazing barbecue too! They can cater for up around 40, and there is also space for a marquee.
