Old Merchants House Wedding

It's a private wedding room on the 2nd floor of The Merchants House, located on the town square of Aeroeskoebing.

This a perfect private wedding venue for all seasons - when you think about a Danish beach wedding. However, with your Danish beach wedding planner, you will get helped through the documentation process with AFL and plan your wedding day. We also meet you the day before and go through all the final details in person, and we will, of course, be on hand during the ceremony. Fees to the local authorities & registrar are included.

The Old Merchant's House is a haven for couples who crave a stress-free celebration with a dash of Danish charm. As the ceremony draws near, we transform the wedding room into a floral paradise with seasonal blooms. Crystal champagne glasses, an ice bucket, and fine bone China are just a few of the elegant touches that await you.

Your celebration includes a bottle of Champagne, delectable chocolates, and a non-alcoholic beverage. If you wish to indulge further, consider adding a beautifully crafted cake to your booking. We'll set it up in the room, allowing you to savor a post-ceremony toast with friends and family in style.

For larger gatherings, the wedding room accommodates a maximum of 30 people. Should your guest list exceed 8, we recommend the atmospheric Old Merchants House Café on the ground floor. Here, you can host a reception inside or bask in the charm of the courtyard next to the iconic whisky distillery, creating a perfect setting for eloping couples or smaller parties.

If you want more time to capture precious moments in the wedding room or have additional guests, please let us know. We'll ensure extra glasses, chairs, and witness assistance for eloping couples. Lighthouse Wedding

The Ærø lighthouse, named Skjoldnæs Fyr, is located on the north-western tip of Ærø, by Ærø golf course. It is a 35-minute drive from Ærøskøbing. It was built in 1881 out of Bornholm granite and measures 22 meters to the top, where the ceremony takes place.

Here, you can experience a wedding ceremony with spectacular views for adventurous couples who want something a little different. We close off the lighthouse from visitors for 1 and a half hours so that you can enjoy the ceremony in all its simplicity outside, at the very top of the lighthouse with stunning views. Candles are lit, and music is played on arrival.

This venue is perfect for elopers, with its Nordic-style hygge and windswept charm. It includes a bottle of Champagne for you to enjoy as a toast afterward, a non-alcoholic option, and sweets. We help you through the documentation process with AFL and plan your wedding day at lighthouse. We will also meet you the day before and go through all the final details in person, and we will, of course, be on hand during the ceremony. Fees to the local authorities and registrar are included.

Due to limited space, not more than 2-3 guests are recommended, and for elopers, we provide witnesses. Because the lighthouse is situated on the most westerly tip of the island (a 30-minute drive from Ærøskøbing), a steady breeze is to be expected, but there is always shelter to be found in the small rustic nook in the lighthouse itself.

This little private beach hut, named “Blæsenborg," was built in 1918 and has been in the family for 4 generations. The beach huts are one of Ærø's iconic sites and are closely protected by local planning laws, so they still look just as they did when they were built.

Simply show up and enjoy a ceremony on Ærøskøbing 's unique beach. This package is perfect for nature and sand-between-your-toes lovers who want to experience the island vibe. It is ideal for a smaller group or if you are eloping.

You hire the beach hut and its facilities for your private use for 3 hours. It includes our personal planning, styling, and coordination service, giving unlimited access to us via email and Skype for help and advice.

It includes ceremony setup and clean-up, an arch on the beach, seating for any guests, and local floral decorations in the unique Danish Island Wedding style. A bottle of Champagne & non-alcoholic elderflower cordial is included, as well as candles, glasses, cutlery, plates, napkins, vases, ice buckets, etc., are set up for you, so all you have to do is just turn up and say Yes!

Full documentation assistance and all fees to local authorities and registrar included. Planning and coordination services between the registrar, hairdresser, beautician, photographer, caterers, and any other of our collaborators are included. We also provide witnesses - just let us know!

We ensure there is always a bad weather option, just in case, and we will give you a tour of the location the day before. However, it is Ideally from May to October only.
