2022 Review and Reviews!
Winter on Ærø – time to light the fire, up the hygge, and look back in highlights of 2022. The lovely reviews we receive are a source of real pleasure – on TrustPilot we have now had (as at 2nd Dec) 1103 reviews with a straight 5-star rating. It is of course impossible to pick a favourite, but reading each review immediately takes us back to the wedding in question.

If we could give DIW more than 5 stars, we would!!!
The most perfect wedding day and it was all thanks to the beautiful Danish Island Wedding (DIW) family (Anna, Yuki, Louise, John, Neli, Anne, and Mira). From start to finish, the beautiful DIW family made sure that we had a special, intimate, and stress-free elopement. It was exactly how we dreamt it would be. A massive thanks to the DIW wedding family for:
· Being so responsive to emails leading up to the day and for being so accommodating to our last-minute requests and for making the administrative aspects of getting married in Denmark such a piece of cake.
· Preparing such beautiful ceremony venue (Old Merchant House) with all the perfect decorative touches.
· Taking so many beautiful photographs to remind us of such a special day, and the recording of the ceremony.
· Ensuring that both brides had hair, make-up and flowers exactly the way they wanted.
· Such fabulous recommendations for how to get to the island, where to stay (På Torvet), where to eat (Den Gamle Købmandsgaard for wedding lunch, Restaurant Mumm for wedding dinner, Amore for Pizza wedding eve), and what to do while on the magical island that is Ærø.
Finally, for queer couples looking to elope, the gorgeous DIW family, the Ærø council and its residents could not make you feel any more welcome!!! Can’t wait to visit again. In sum, a big glowing review from us and a strong recommendation for you to check out Danish Island Weddings and Ærø.

Danish Island Weddings hat uns unsere großen Traum der Heirat auf Aeroe verwirklicht. Louise, Yuki, Anna und ihr Team sind einfach wundervoll! Sie haben uns von Anfang an mit viel Engagement und offenem Herzen begleitet. Hatten immer ein offenes Ohr für unsere Wünsche. Der große Tag war perfekt organisiert und alles fühlte sich leicht und entspannt an. Das wundervolle Bouquet, das hübsch dekorierte Trauzimmer, alles war perfekt. Nicht nur wir sondern auch unsere Gäste haben sich rundum wohl gefühlt. Wer eine außergewöhnliche Hochzeit auf dieser wunderschönen Insel erleben möchte, sollte sich an DIW wenden.

Thank you for the fantastic experience!
I cannot stop raving about DIW and the team! Everything was easy, smooth, relaxed and we felt very welcomed and supported at each step! The team's recommendations for the photographer (she was the sweetest!), help with the bouquet and boutonniere (both a masterpiece!) and generous tips about the ceremony and the town made the whole experience a fairy tail. We could not have possible asked for a better setting for our special day surrounded by kind and and lovely people. Thank you Anna, Louise, Yuki and John, everything you did for us is very special and much appreciated!
